The purpose of La Tiara, a 9,000 m² residential development in Puebla, is to provide high-quality living space in an environment that promotes well-being, community, and connection with the natural surroundings. With a linear train-like layout, the building organizes 180 90 m² apartments on four levels, and a parking lot located in a half basement, in such a way that it maximizes the free area for gardens and recreational areas. This design allows for the integration of large green areas that act as community spaces, generating an atmosphere of coexistence and relaxation for residents.
The design of La Tiara is based on a structure that concentrates the residential units in a linear fashion, freeing up a large area of land for gardens and outdoor recreation areas. This layout not only ensures optimal ventilation and lighting for each apartment, but also allows for the creation of spaces for connection between residents, strengthening the sense of community. The concentration scheme seeks to make the gardens the heart of the building's life, where residents can live together, relax and experience a connection with nature in the middle of the urban environment of Puebla.
The project contributes regeneratively to the local environment and to the well-being of the inhabitants. By leaving a large area of land for green areas, La Tiara facilitates the absorption of rainwater and contributes to mitigating the effect of urban heat, improving the environmental quality of the area. These gardens and open spaces not only promote recreational activities, but also act as meeting and interaction places, fostering a strong and collaborative community. The layout of the gardens allows residents to integrate into the local landscape, while the proximity between residential and green areas creates a link between the natural environment and users, strengthening the identity of the place.
The design of La Tiara, focused on maximizing recreational areas and improving the quality of life of its inhabitants, integrates with the environment and becomes a model of urban regeneration, promoting a sense of community and respect for the environment.
